Teaching philosophy
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.”
Plato
teaching Philosophy Statement
As a music educator working with students of all ages, I believe in fostering not only musical excellence but also intellectual curiosity, emotional expression, and personal growth. Music is a powerful language that transcends cultural and generational boundaries, and I aim to help students find their unique voice within that language - both as individuals and as members of a larger ensemble or academic community.
I believe music is not simply a subject to be mastered, but a lifelong discipline that shapes character and connects people. Whether preparing students for future careers in music or enriching their lives as lifelong learners and creators, I am committed to equipping them with the tools, mindset, and inspiration to thrive.
